Our Mental Health Counselor is Mr. Zeeshan Kerawala.
The mission of the Donald E. Woods Opportunity Center Mental Health Department is to provide our students with comprehensive mental health counseling, stress management, conflict resolution, crisis response and de-escalation.
Mr. Kerawala received a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. Additionally, he brings to our school many years of proven experience, including four years of Crisis Response experience from the Peace River Center.

NAMI Polk County
- NAMI Polk County, Inc. (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a non-profit organization whose membership is dedicated to the welfare of persons with serious mental illness. Their mission is to promote recovery from mental illness and to improve the quality of life for those who suffer from no-fault brain diseases by providing support, education and advocacy for individuals with mental illness and their families. NAMI is located in Bartow, Florida and serve all of Polk County.
